Houck was actief op zoek naar iets nieuws, een openbaring, toen de oude manieren en gewoontes niet meer werkten. Na de pandemie kwam Revelator snel tot stand. Hoewel het schrijven en opnemen slechts zes maanden duurde, was het geen gemakkelijk maakproces:

Houck was actief op zoek naar iets nieuws, een openbaring, toen de oude manieren en gewoontes niet meer werkten. Na de pandemie kwam Revelator snel tot stand. Hoewel het schrijven en opnemen slechts zes maanden duurde, was het geen gemakkelijk maakproces: Revelator zorgde ervoor dat Houck zijn neiging tot twijfel aan zichzelf confronteerde, die werd versterkt door zijn vragen over wat voor soort album hij aan het maken was. I’m not a sunglasses person by any means. I only ever bought the cheap $5 sunglasses for years cause I didn’t care to wear them anyway and I never liked how they looked on me. THESE HOWEVER. Jaw dropped. I love them. I wear them everywhere. I care for them and clean them like they are my child. They are the best investment into sunglasses I have ever made.
