Superior Sound

The Phoenix has been crafted using the best quality materials available, including premium Czech reeds. We use ‘Tipo a Mano’ (hand-finished) reeds, made from Swedish sound steel, producing a bright, sweet and melodious tone. Czech reeds are renowned the world over for producing top quality tone and their strength and brightness makes the Phoenix a great traditional Irish session concertina when you need to be heard but not to dominate and, like all good reeds they open up and get even better with play.

The Phoenix is a great fit for the intermediate concertina player, crafted to the highest standard and perfect for students who are ready to advance and master their instrument. When developing this concertina it was really put to the test. We had several trial sessions and received feedback from many concertina players. The overwhelming response was that it matched concertinas twice the price for action and sound. This is a concertina that will serve you for years.

    Great quality for the price!

    This body shimmer oil gives a really nice sun-kissed glow without looking overly glittery.     Glowy but not sure about the spf
    Color: Glistening Bronze
    My first impression was that this works more like a basic body shimmer than anything else. The Glistening Bronze shade gives a noticeable glow, especially on arms and shoulders. It spreads easily and adds a warm shimmer in the light, but the overall effect feels pretty simple and more cosmetic than skincare focused. In use, the oil blends in smoothly and feels lightweight on the skin. It does leave a bit of moisture behind, similar to a light body oil, and the shimmer shows up well outdoors. The bronze tone is fairly deep, so it seems better suited for medium to darker skin tones or anyone who wants a stronger bronzed glow. The product mentions SPF 45, but there is very little information about the sun protection side of it, so I personally treat this more like a shimmer oil than a sunscreen. Overall, this is fine if you are mainly looking for a body shimmer that adds glow and a bronzed look. It does the job of giving skin a subtle shine and a bit of hydration, but it does not stand out as anything particularly special. I would recommend it mostly for people who want a simple shimmering body oil rather than relying on it for sun protection.
