To combat this common issue, ATS designed a BilletProof Channel Plate: A stress relieved 1" thick aluminum tooling plate precisely CNC machined to include all valve body channels, vent holes, and even includes pressure testing ports with engraved labels. Critical channels have been enlarged to allow additional fluid to feed the clutch packs ensuring a quick fill time. ATS's BilletProof Channel plate for the 68-RFE works with both stock transmission pans, as well as aftermarket deep pans.
This BilletProof channel plate can be installed in any 68-RFE transmission. A crisp, smooth, strong shift quality will be immediately noticed after installation of the BilletProof Channel Plate and all of the problems that are associated with cross leaks will be eliminated.
