More or less known for his projects Bronze Horse and The Dove Azima, which cloaked his name on his three past albums, Zachary Hay is finally releasing a self-titled LP. When Scissor Tail Editions first discovered his music, they were floored by his stream-of-consciousness approach to acoustic guitar. A very playful, innocent and intuitive flow of ideas created some incredibly poignant songs, feeling as if they already existed and rose from oblivion-preformed. This album, like his others, would fit nicely alongside Willie Lane, Jandek, MV & EE, Tashi Dorji and Loren Connors. Or imagine if John Fahey and Jack Rose were stripped of their deep knowledge of blues music and were distilled down to pure melody and feel, they may have made similar choices on the guitar as Zachary Hay here. This album is the most sincere album of contemporary guitar music Scissor Tail has heard. His perfect, simple technique adds a timelessness to each song that could be vaguely described as "American Primitive"-a tradition that includes Charalambides, Christina Carter, and Scott Tuma, as much as Fahey and his contemporaries.

What can I say? Works as intended. Seems pretty decent in quality and has a decent thickness to it! Fits pretty tightly so you don't have to worry about sloppy RCA connections.

Great Quality

Outstanding quality a very reasonable price. I was able to check the headunit RCA was showing almost 5 volts which was rated on the output of the headunit. I’m not an expert however i am assuming you don’t have to add so much gain. I’m very pleased and i will save this seller.

Pretty good cables for what they are

I purchased these Skar Audio cables here on Amazon because they were an outstanding price. They shipped very quickly. When I open the package mind you they do work pretty good but when I open the package I've noticed that the gold plated connecting points that are supposed to connect to your amplifier and your receiver are a little flimsy and don't fit as tight as they're supposed to so I was concerned that bumps on the road whatever would cause them to loosen up so I had to squeeze them together a little bit so I can make them fit tighter on the amplifier but so far so good and I've had no problems with them. I've had no weird humming no weird crackling or any kind of connection issues whatsoever since I've done this. Just something to take note. Other than that, for the price these are pretty good cables and if you want to spend a little more here on Amazon you can get better cables. I know Skar Audio makes pretty good speakers for what they're worth and they definitely make pretty decent amps. I'm just not quite sure about there quality on cables and such. Just my honest opinion. I know people that love everything that they make so it's all subjective and a matter of opinion. Would I recommend them? For the price definitely.

Another Quality Product from Skar Audio

High Quality RCA. I needed a 1 Male to 2 Female RCA Y adapter, and me not reading correctly ordered this. However - I managed to make this work at my AMP instead of the head unit. Great sound quality, Cable is a good gauge and matches my RCA's already ran in the car. Connects easy and had this installed within minutes. Thanks Skar!
