We pray the God of mercy to deliver us from our present Calamity, wrote Patrick Breen on the first day of 1847 as he and others in the Donner party awaited rescue from the snowbound Sierras. His famous diary appears in Overland in 1846, edited and annotated by Dale L. Morgan. This handsome two-volume work includes not only primary sources of the Donner tragedy but also the letters and journals of other emigrants on the trail that year. Their voices combine to create a sweeping narrative of the westward movement. Volume I concentrates on the experiences of particular pioneers making the passage--their letters and diaries describe omnipresent dangers and momentary joys, landmarks, Indians encountered, disputes within the companies, births and deaths. Volume II, also based on contemporary records, offers a broader but no less vivid view of what it was like to go west in 1846 and pictures what was found in California and Oregon.Binding Type: Paperback

Play bone
Size: Small, Color: Granny Smith
Sturdy, but our puppy was able to chew it up and swallow small pieces. Good but perhaps made for a less aggressive chewer.

durable. interesting shape
Size: 9.5 inch
I like that chew bones come in a variety of shapes. This shape is currently not my dog's favorite but that is ok. She plays with it a bit. It is durable and she will get around to it sometimes.

My dog loves bam-bones
Size: 5.25 inch (Pack of 1)
I wasn’t sure how my dog would like this since it’s stick shaped instead of the typical Y or T shaped bones. She was apprehensive at first but eventually loved it. She’s on her second one now. They don’t last quite as long as the name-brand nylon bones but she loves them the same and they’re a better price.

Good product, except that dogs don’t seem interested.
Size: 5.25 inch (Pack of 1), Size: 5.25 inch (Pack of 1)
It’s a good side for 8-20lb dogs which are the size dogs I foster. So far none of my fosters have been interested in this particular toy. I’m not sure why. It seems like a quality product, that is not so hard that it will hurt teeth but, durable enough that it will last for moderate chewers. I appreciate that it had some texture for pups to work their paws and mouths around.
Again, none of the dogs here have been interested yet but other than that, as far as I can tell the product is good. I’ll update if I ever get a foster that goes HAM for it.
