There are experimental musicians that know how to well craft the best of pop music, and there are pop musicians that know how to experiment at upper echelons of instinct. Samara Lubelski is both of these musicians in one. It may be a bold statement, but yes, it is true, every word. Her breadth of experience in both of the otherworldly sides of these spheres grants her an enlightened gift in song writing. It is elegant and transporting, and it coalesces in that golden new age of purple and orange psychic pop music that ducks it's head into the present realm from time to time. "Flickers at the Station" is an album that showcases Lubelski at a creative apex. Beautiful and breathtaking, it is a forever keeper of a baroque pop record. It's late evening music. It's early morning revelation music. It's a glorious day unto itself. The pure connection between Lubelski's outré improv and instrumentation and her pop-psychic songwriting is in complete harmony.Flickers At The Station:1 - Black Dots 2 - The Spiral Spins 3 - High Rise 4 - Tunnel Visions (Station The Spectacle)5 - Circle Bend6 - Sound On Sound7 - Soft Focus8 - Vacant City9 - Impositions10 - Mark The Spot 11 - Measure Of Decline

Great debut from Kodama Tales
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Quality wise the book is top notch. The paper is thick with basically zero bleed through, and on top of that the color pages are included as well. As this is my first time reading Baki I can't give a comment on the wider story, but what's contained in this volume is some solid dumb fun.

"She was dead when I got there," Mom casually said
Format: Paperback
I've faithfully followed Living the Line's Smudge manga releases up to this. Actually I had this one preordered for ages but Amazon never shipped it to me and I only noticed it was in stock by chance. I had to cancel and reorder it. What the heck, Amazon? Anyhow, it's definitely a horror story but also a species of superhero story, or at least a person-with-superpowers story, without the encumbrances of lore, heavy character- or world-building, a continuing narrative in a shared universe, or anything else. There's really nothing you could call a plot. Stripped down and even rough as it is, it's utterly engrossing, surreal reading for me. A lot of my manga reading is horror but I've also been enjoying superhero manga like this or, for example, Hikari-Man FAR more than anything from the Big Two because of the greater freedom the Japanese works exhibit in how they conceptualize power(s) and heroism.

Awesome graphic
Format: Kindle
This graphic tale is engaging, thought providing. Leads you into taking another look into the events of the past as you grew up in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Cool blend of a crazy bend of history, horror, and secret organizations of control.
