XTrig – ROCS Tech Triple Clamps

The XTrig ROCS Tech Triple Clamps redefine precision and performance in front-end handling. Standing for Revolutionary Opposing Clamp System, ROCS is one of XTrig’s most advanced engineering achievements — a design that enhances fork stability, steering precision, and overall front-end feel by changing how the fork tubes are clamped.

Unlike conventional triple clamps, the ROCS design uses opposing clamping bolts that apply force evenly from both sides of the fork tube. This reduces deformation in the clamping area, allowing the forks to move more freely and respond more consistently. The self-locking effect of the opposing design also increases safety and resistance to twisting, so your fork alignment stays straight even after hard hits or crashes.

With no unnecessary material between the clamping screws, the ROCS clamps achieve a lighter overall weight without sacrificing strength. The split clamp design improves how the fork tubes flex under load, giving riders better front-end feedback and control through turns, ruts, and braking bumps. Each clamp is CNC-machined from premium aluminum, tuned for just the right amount of flex, and finished with an anodized coating in the manufacturer’s signature color.

Why We Like It:
The difference in feel is immediate — steering feels sharper, the fork tracks straighter, and front-end feedback becomes more predictable. XTrig nailed the balance between stiffness and flex, giving you precision without harshness. Plus, the craftsmanship and finish are pure factory-level quality.

Why It’ll Work for You:
If you’re serious about handling and front-end feel, the ROCS Tech Triple Clamps are a true upgrade. They reduce fork bind, improve responsiveness, and maintain alignment even in tough conditions. Whether you’re chasing lap times or perfecting your setup for the trail, you’ll notice smoother fork action, less fatigue, and a more connected feel to the front wheel. It’s the kind of upgrade that brings out the best in your suspension and riding confidence.

inexpensive usb3.1 gen 2 hub with PD
This USB3.1 gen 2 hub is well made, featuring VIA Labs controller (device id 2109:2822) and is made in China. It looks nice and performs according to the specs. I wish usb-c socket supported TB3/Alt DP cable to connect a display to it, but it is apparently made mainly for power delivery. I think the hub is a good value.

premium feel in the hand.
Can't really say whether it's that good or not elecronics wise since I didn't test it but it works like it's supposed to. Meanwhile, the housing oh man. It's premium. It feels like hard aluminum or something, very nice. Edges are rounded too with just the right sharpness like a macbook. Others would've been plastic. This is really nice for the price and if the specs really are 10Gbps, that's really good because most in this price range is 5Gbps.

Failed to support desktop PCs with USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports
Does not work with my HP mini PC with USB 3.2 gen 2 ports - when connecting USB portable SSDs to the hub. You won't believe it, but many USB 3.2 Gen 2 hubs only support laptops not desktop PCs (except hubs that have dedicated power supply for higher power USB devices e.g. SSD/HDDs) when connecting USB portable SSDs to the hub. We need a major fix from many of the USB hub vendors so these products can work with desktop PCs that have USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. Workaround: Just directly connect the USB portable SSD to the PC instead. If you need more USB ports, pick up a good old USB 3.0 hub. They're working correctly with portable USB SSDs when working with desktop PCs. (You'd need a powered USB hub if you're connecting 2 or more portable SSDs - do your own calculation: 5V - 1A per SSD/HDD).
