Dawes has been lumped into genres such as folk-rock and Americana yet they belong to no specific musical trend. Like The Byrds, Jackson Browne, The Eagles, Warren Zevon, Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills & Nash, the melting-pot that is California has informed their sound and created something that rises above any musical movement. Like Wilco, The Jayhawks and other like-minded bands, Dawes do not let labels define them. Dawes is composed of brothers Taylor (guitars and vocals) and Griffin Goldsmith (drums), along with Wylie Gelber (bass) and Tay Strathairn (keyboards).

Super cute. Orange/rust isn't really my color but they were on sale so I thought I'd try. Washed and dried beautifully. I already wore them once and had no problems, they were comfortable with enough stretch but not so much that they were falling off. I like that they can be worn long or cuffed. I liked the length for my inseam which is about 28". I did have to size down. Normally I wear a 2, but I ordered a 0 because it was less expensive lol. They fit perfectly. Definitely not too tight for my pear shape. My weight ranges from about 112-116. My waist is around 25" and hips about 36.5", the largest part of my thighs measure about 21" around so I feel like they are good for those of us who are bigger/curvier on the bottom than the top. I'll likely order another in navy too!
