KECO Dead Center® Finishing Tabs — Precision PDR Tabs for Clean, Controlled Dent Repair

The KECO Dead Center® Finishing Tabs are designed for professional paintless dent repair (PDR) technicians who demand the highest level of control and precision during the final stages of dent removal. These finishing tabs incorporate KECO’s patented Dead Center technology, which optimizes force distribution for a strong, focused pull while allowing flexibility around the edges to prevent over-pulling and damage to surrounding metal.

Dead Center® Finishing Tabs provide a smooth, reliable glue surface that maximizes adhesion and pull strength. Available in both rigid Ice and flexible Blue materials, these tabs are engineered to meet the unique needs of varying panel materials and dent types, ensuring clean, fast, and precise results every time.

What is Dead Center Technology?

KECO’s patented Dead Center technology is the foundation of these finishing tabs. It refers to the engineered relationship between the tab’s face thickness and the neck diameter. This ratio is designed to focus lifting power at the exact center of the tab, where dent repair requires the most force. Meanwhile, the neck’s design allows the edges to flex subtly during pulling, which helps to prevent over-pulling, metal distortion, or paint damage.

This balance of rigidity and flexibility ensures that technicians can confidently apply strong pulling forces without risking panel damage or excess metal stretch, leading to smoother repairs and a higher quality finish.

Key Features and Benefits

Patented Dead Center Technology
The innovative neck-to-face ratio provides the best possible rigid center pull combined with edge flex. This design makes it possible to achieve powerful, clean lifts while safeguarding delicate surrounding areas.

Smooth Face for Optimal Glue Adhesion
A flat, smooth surface promotes secure glue bonding, maximizing pull efficiency and minimizing the risk of tab slippage or glue failure during the repair.

Material Options

  • Ice Material: This is a very strong and rigid formula engineered for maximum pull strength and energy transfer. Ice tabs excel on tougher dents requiring high power and consistent results.

  • Blue Material: This formula offers more flexibility and vibration absorption. It is ideal for more delicate panels or finishes where controlled, less aggressive pulling is necessary.

Clean and Precise Pulls
The engineered design leads to fast dent knockdowns with minimal effort, reducing the time spent on finishing and touch-up work.

Reduced Over-Pulling Risks
The flexible edges protect panels from damage, making these tabs safe for use on sharp creases, thin metal, and delicate paint surfaces.

Materials and Construction

KECO’s finishing tabs are made from high-quality polymers that provide durability and resistance to wear and tear. The Ice material stands out for its exceptional rigidity, ensuring power and stability in tough dent removal scenarios. The Blue material adds flexibility and resilience, absorbing vibrations and distributing pulling forces more gently, which is crucial on fragile or thinner metals.

Both materials maintain excellent glue compatibility, ensuring secure adhesion throughout the repair process.

Applications

Dead Center® Finishing Tabs are ideal for:

  • Final stage dent repairs requiring precision control

  • Crease dents and sharp valleys where excess force can cause damage

  • Thin or sensitive panels needing careful, flexible pulling

  • Use with a variety of PDR pulling tools, including slide hammers, mini lifters, and glue pullers

  • Professional repair shops and mobile PDR technicians aiming for high-quality results

Using Dead Center® Finishing Tabs

  1. Surface Preparation: Clean the damaged panel to remove any dirt, wax, or grease that could compromise glue adhesion.

  2. Glue Application: Heat and apply PDR glue evenly on the tab’s smooth face.

  3. Tab Placement: Position the tab precisely on the dent, ensuring the convex shape conforms to the panel surface.

  4. Glue Curing: Allow the glue to set completely according to manufacturer instructions for optimal bonding.

  5. Pulling Process: Attach your PDR pulling tool and apply steady, controlled force. The rigid center ensures effective dent lifting, while flexible edges absorb excess stress to avoid panel damage.

  6. Assessment: After pulling, inspect the repair and reposition tabs as needed for finishing touches.

Compatibility

Dead Center® Finishing Tabs fit with all standard PDR glue pulling tools. They are fully compatible with KECO’s full line of pulling equipment but can also be used with most major brands of slide hammers, mini lifters, and knockdown tools.

Maintenance Tips

  • Clean tabs after each use to remove glue residue using recommended solvents.

  • Store tabs in original packaging or a dedicated organizer to avoid damage and loss.

  • Inspect tabs regularly for wear or damage and replace them to maintain pulling efficiency and safety.

Why Choose KECO Dead Center® Finishing Tabs?

For PDR professionals, the goal is always to deliver flawless dent repairs efficiently and reliably. Dead Center® Finishing Tabs make this possible by combining engineering precision with practical usability. They reduce the risk of panel damage, speed up repair times, and provide a consistent, professional finish.

Their patented design and material versatility place them at the forefront of finishing tab technology, trusted by technicians worldwide for delivering superior results in the most demanding repair scenarios.

In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.
