"The End of Superman's Secret Identity!" & Lena Thorul learns she's Luthor's sister & how she got her ESP Powers.  Published by DC Comics in 1964.

The cover looks nice despite a number of flaws.  The supersize image available gives a good idea of its appeal.  General wear particularly on Superman's chest.  Some creasing.  The corners are squarish with the except of the lower spine corner, but the edges are nice despite some wear.   Color breaking creases in the lower right corner.  The beginning of a spine roll.  Spine stress marks.  Some soiling on the front cover.  Interior pages are a light tan, and are wonderfully supple.  The staples are well placed and the cover is decently cut with the color extending to the spine line.  The cover is attached to both staples.  The book lies relatively flat.  Some of the interior pages are detached from the staples.  Overall the book has some charms.

Comic Grading - Definition of a Crease.

Crease - A fold which causes ink removal, usually resulting in a white line.  This seems to be the sense of what a crease is to Overstreet's Grading Guidelines and most comic graders.  We note two categories of creasing in our descriptions, 1) color breaking and 2) non-color breaking.

For a color breaking crease, it must show that white line, though of course the thickness, length, and cover location of the crease are all important factors in how severely the crease actually degrades the cover's impact.

A non-color breaking crease is technically not a crease since it doesn't break color, but to those of us who have spent hours obsessing over our books, it is an interruption in the gloss or how the cover reflects light.  Take a smooth unblemished white sheet of paper and press your thumb nail into it several times using varying amounts of pressure.  As the paper is white there is no break in color, but depending on lighting and its angle to the paper eventually you would be able to see every point where the nail impressed the paper.  Again the noticeability, number, and locations of non-color breaking creases are factors affecting the quality of the cover.

If a cover is generally smooth, this means the non-color breaking creases present are interfering little with the cover's appearance.  These kinds of creases range from unnoticeable in normal viewing conditions to very intrusive.  A comic must be very carefully handled to avoid leaving these impressions at the edges.

Unfortunately, scans of the covers, even the enlargeable images we employ, do not always fully depict these imperfections.  We try to fill in the gaps by offering our estimate of what the Overstreet Grade would likely be, and by giving a detailed written description.

Like most comic buyers and graders we have exchanged thoughts with, we agree that Overstreet Grading Guidelines provide a helpful starting point to access a book's quality, but we all have our own tastes and biases, and sharp disagreements on various books as well as complaints about Overstreet's approach.  Different books will impress you differently than they would us, which is why we try to be detailed and factual.  We are merely trying to provide buyers with enough background so the book received satisfies or exceeds the expectations generated by our listing.
Please note there is a $4.00 handling fee for this purchase. Fees charged do not fully compensate for labor and materials necessary to process a purchase. Purchases will ship within 5 business days.

As of this listing over 90% of all issues of Action Comics 282 thru 482, Worlds Finest 115 to 244, & Adventure Comics 300 to 430 & 441 to 454 are in stock.  Open to requests for individual issues to list in the store!!!

Expert Shipping!!!  We are very careful shippers.  We have shipped thousands of comics commercially.  Out of 1500+ shipments, there has not been a single report of a packing problem. Packing materials used are light weight and nearly impervious to harm!
We have tried to be precise and reasonable in grading.  However, since grading has many gray areas ... No Condition is guaranteed.  No one can catch or describe every flaw, though generally our listings in detail and accuracy surpass 90% of other sellers.  Better yet, with enlargeable images for every item you can make sounder judgements about the quality of the item.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or want additional scans via email.

Stylish and great value!
Color: Medium Grey, Size: 14
This grey suit was a great find for a school ceremony and will definitely be used again. The neutral color makes it easy to pair with different shirts and ties, and it has a modern, clean-cut look. The jacket and pants fit nicely after a quick press, and the quality was better than I expected for the price. It lost a star only because the waist on the pants needed a slight adjustment, but overall, we’re very happy with it!

Runs big, and fabric may not be same color as picture
Color: Medium Grey, Size: 16, Color: Medium Grey, Size: 16
This suit was a good find for us, as we usually dress up for church, and my 13 yo son often wears suits. He normally wears a size 16, so that’s what we ordered, and in dark charcoal gray. The suit we got was a light, heathered gray that didn’t look much like the one in the picture. It was very wrinkly and thin, and a little scratchy. Also, the sleeves were way too long and the torso cut of the jacket was pretty wide. The pants were very large in the waist, but fit him decently in the length (he’s 5’4” and weighs 90 lbs). Overall the suit looked like it was drowning him, so I would order a size down unless you have a larger child/teen. Because of the ill fit, I haven’t had the chance to see what the suit looks like on him as it’s supposed to, but I guess I’ll return it or wait a year or two until he fills it out a bit more. Not overly impressed with the quality, so I’m not sure I’d pay $55 for this one again.

Great Quality.
Color: Beige, Size: 14, Color: Beige, Size: 14
Bought this for my son to attend a wedding on the beach. It looks very good, the color is beautiful and is true to size. He is 14 so I got size 14. He is 5’7” and weighs about 110 lbs. the pants length was perfect too. Just needs a little ironing.
