Traum celebrates 10 years and their 100th vinyl release with a compilation CD chock full of unreleased tracks from artists that have been with them since the beginning: Broker/Dealer, Fairmont, Gabriel Ananda, Jesse Somfay, Process, Dominik Eulberg and Thomas Brinkman. Traum also boasts a sampling from their current artist roster: Moonbeam, Bukaddor & Fishbeck, Minilogue and Super Flu. The West Coast duo Broker/Dealer opens the CD with a taste of their self-generated melodies that are as smooth and as colorful as ice cream reflecting the summer light. Dominik Eulberg's track is reminiscent of soundtrack music from a '70s hippie movie. Bukaddor & Fishbeck are new on Traum and their track highlights their stunning ability for creating dynamics through small details. Minilogue's "Carnival" is an electronic safari, stripped-down and rhythmical, as opposed to their post-trance past. Thomas Brinkman returns with a high-energy groove monster with delicately deep moments that will suck you in. Dominik and Riley offer a mix featuring four instruments playing the original melody in variations, creating a euphoric madness. Super Flu's track is a strong tool with a murderous bass line that will corner the dancer on the floor. Moonbeam's super-sensual track is exceptionally cool - all soft and sweet with melodies moving in slow motion. Gabriel Ananda serves up a fusion of post-Detroit rock mixed with cool melodies. Fairmont works his melodic sequencer on a driven epic which comes here in an edited form to be later released in a longer version. Process aka Steve Barnes has done it again with a super-smooth and contemplative groover that reminds US of the early days of house and techno, when music was a playground for feelings without the pressure of commerce. Nice hose filter for filling hot tubs
Style: Standard Filter
I bought this for filling up my hot tub. It does the trick. Straight tap water was difficult to balance the ph and keep it stable. When I fill the hot tub using the filter, the water is more balanced and easier to maintain. I used it for two 390gal refills before I noticed it was getting slower, so ordered another one. I haven’t used it for drinking water so can’t comment on the taste. It does seem to help with hardness though.

Awesome filter! Nasty campground water no longer...
Style: Standard Filter
I have run these for years in my RV and they work killer! Here's some more in-depth thoughts:
Pros:
- These work better than I had expected. Just hook them up to the water source, hook your hose to it, run it to your trailer and viola` clean and good tasting water. Some of the places we have visited have had water that I wouldn't feed to my worst enemy. With this thing attached, it's very good tasting.
- I like the hose attachment that comes with this to aide in adding flexibility to the system and not put too much strain on the system. I have bought so many of these, I now use one attaching the filter to the nozzle, one out of the filter to my hose, and one attaching my hose to the trailer.
Notes:
- I will note that the manufacturer suggesting using these for only 1 camping season, and this makes sense. That's what I do, and it seems to work out great. It's not too much $ to replace every season.
- Another note, when first putting this filter into service (just the first time of the season, subsequent hook-ups wont do this) there will be a bunch of carbon (black in the water) that comes out of the faucet in your trailer. This is perfectly fine, safe, and of no issue. This is the filter breaking in and getting the extra carbon out of the system. There is no health concern with this happening. I just run the faucet until it clears up, and then we're good to go for the rest of the season.
- Last note, when we unhook from our camping spot, I swing the filter in my hand with my arm extended (using centrifugal force, not centrifical, look it up) to get the residual water out of the filter so it doesn't sit in there and spoil. I do this until I get most of the water drops to stop, leave it out on the counter to dry, and boom, it's perfect the next time.
Cons:
- None to report
Overall this filter does a great job taking care of some seriously nasty campground water that we've encountered all over the Southwest US. I cannot recommend it any higher.
