The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX99 is a compact digital camera built around an 18.2 MP 1/2.3” Exmor R CMOS sensor, paired with the BIONZ X image processor, enabling efficient noise handling and fast data readout. It features a ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* lens with 28–720mm equivalent focal range (24× optical zoom) and a variable aperture f/3.5–6.4, supported by Optical SteadyShot image stabilization for handheld shooting across the zoom range.
Autofocus is contrast-detect based with fast AF acquisition, complemented by Lock-On AF and Eye AF for precise subject tracking. The camera supports continuous shooting up to 10 fps with autofocus/exposure tracking. Video capabilities include 4K UHD recording (3840×2160) using full pixel readout without pixel binning, plus S-Log2/S-Log3 gamma profiles for extended dynamic range in post-production.
Framing options include a built-in pop-up OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3.0” tilting LCD touchscreen. Connectivity is comprehensive with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC, enabling remote control and wireless file transfer. The HX99 supports RAW + JPEG capture, manual exposure modes, and extensive in-camera customization, all housed in a compact metal body designed for portability without sacrificing control depth.

My great experience with Asurion
Very easy to use, no hassle, everything was done quickly online (5 minutes or so), and the reimbursement check was received promptly. Exactly as advertised. Make sure you keep your Asurion info in a folder that you can easily find in a couple of years. I guess it matters on what you are protecting, but for me and my gaming chair, this was so worth it, worth it, worth it!

A must have
I thought this was going to be a waste of money but I couldn't have been more wrong. I purchased this for a piece of furniture and after about two and a half years the piece started falling apart. So again I thought I was wasting my time but I called them up and the person that answered the phone was the kindest and the most understanding person. I proceeded to tell her why I was calling and of the issues I was having and within just a couple minutes and just a couple more questions I had an Amazon gift card for the amount of the full purchase price, I received a full refund. And this was after two and a half years. The bottom line is you can not go wrong with the Asurion 3 year Protection Plan. A MUST HAVE!!!
