The paper will use object-oriented C++ to demonstrate both the efficiency of object-oriented programming and its usefulness in quantitative finance. C++ is arguably the favoured language of quantitative professionals and hence the paper also seeks to demonstrate some basic to intermediate concepts of the C++ object-oriented paradigm including classes, inheritance, overloading functions and abstract data types.
