Magnificent Kadam-Style Stupa in Pure Brass with Eight Auspicious Symbols and Substances - Altar Shrine Offering Representing Buddha's Wisdom

This magnificent Kadam-style stupa is crafted from pure brass and perfectly proportioned. Adorned with exquisitely carved Eight Auspicious Symbols and Eight Auspicious Substances on the round bell, it also features an elaborate parasol inlaid with semi-precious stones. Representing the mind and wisdom of the Buddha, this stupa serves as an essential object of veneration on the altar and a perfect offering to a teacher.

The Kadam-style stupa is characterized by a simple yet elegant top with a parasol and thirteen descending discs. The center is adorned with a square balcony-like structure and a distinctive round bell-shaped bottom, all resting on a round double lotus base.

A unique feature of the Kadam stupa is its round bell-shaped bottom. It is commonly believed that the Kadam stupa was introduced to Tibet by Atisha and the Kadam Tradition. The Kadam stupa is based on the eighth and final of the Eight Great Stupas, symbolizing the parinirvana of Shakyamuni Buddha. Typically, Kadam stupas are between eight and ten inches tall and are used as ritual objects on shrines or during the elaborate mandala offering ritual.

The Eight Auspicious Symbols of Tibetan Buddhism are the endless knot, banner of victory, all-powerful wheel, precious parasol, golden fishes, vase of treasure, exquisite lotus, and white conch. These symbols were originally used in India at ceremonies such as the investiture or coronation of a king. In Buddhism, they represent the offerings made by the gods to Shakyamuni Buddha immediately after his enlightenment.

The Eight Auspicious Substances hold great significance, each commemorating a specific occasion related to the arising, teaching, increase, and demonstration of the Dharma's power and benefit. These substances are the right-coiling conch shell, yogurt, durva grass, vermilion, bilva fruit, mirror, giwang, and white mustard seed.

Absolutely The Best Christmas Story Told!
Format: Hardcover
This book will forever be cherished and pasted on to my grandchildren. With all the wonderful illustrations and information that I have never known before. I am going to continue to be reading this book over and over because I love the opportunity of learning about Jesus with facts of history from an author who has done the research. I am planning on purchasing more to give as gifts.

CHRISTMAS
Format: Hardcover
EXCELLENT BOOK, I listened to Rick Renner on a program several months back and try to catch him everytime he is being interviewed. His other book about Noah and the flood, it too is so enlightening and opens these stories up to historical accuracy.
