The TU 43 mouthpiece is a new addition to the Miraphone line designed especially for the larger BBb and CC contrabass tubas. An optimal combination of shaft length, back bore and cup depth allow for a centered tone with a full, round sound. The shaft diameter has been enlarged from 13.3 mm to 13.6 mm and the outer form has a slightly different design shape. Included with the new Hagen 496 and 497 tubas. Will fit into most receivers about 1" rather than the more common 1.25" insertion. Cup has a deep curve, and an abrupt cut into the throat, rather than a smooth V shape |
