An unprecedented, groundbreaking history of China's Great Famine that recasts the era of Mao Zedong and the history of the People's Republic of China.

Between 1958 and 1962, China descended into hell. Mao Zedong threw his country into a frenzy with the Great Leap Forward, an attempt to catch up to and overtake Britain in less than fifteen years. The experiment ended in the greatest catastrophe the country had ever known, destroying tens of millions of lives.

So opens Frank Dik tter's riveting, magnificently detailed chronicle of an era in Chinese history much speculated about but never before fully documented, as access to Communist Party archives has long been restricted to all but the most trusted historians. A new archive law has opened up thousands of central and provincial documents that fundamentally change the way one can study the Maoist era.

Dik tter makes clear, as nobody has before, that far from being the program that would lift the country among the world's superpowers and prove the power of Communism, as Mao imagined, the Great Leap Forward transformed the country in the other direction. It became the site not only of "one of the most deadly mass killings of human history--at least forty-five million people were worked, starved, or beaten to death--but also of the greatest demolition of real estate in human history, as up to one-third of all housing was turned into rubble. The experiment was a catastrophe for the natural world as well, as the land was savaged in the maniacal pursuit of steel and other industrial accomplishments. In a powerful meshing of exhaustive research in Chinese archives and narrative drive, Dik tter, for the first time, links up what happened in the corridors of power--the vicious backstabbing and bullying tactics that took place among party leaders--with the everyday experiences of ordinary people, giving voice to the dead and disenfranchised. His magisterial account recasts the history of the People's Republic of China.

Nice iPad Keyboard
Color: Marine Blue
My son enjoys his iPad more since he attached this keyboard. It's the perfect size, but the key is to read the specifications. He has yet to complain about a lapse in typing to seeing what he has typed so the keyboard responds well. Unfortunately, he has dropped the keyboard a few times, but thankfully it has proven to breable to withstand his roughness. The magnetic aspect of the keyboard is a nice feature and the keyboard stays in place as it should. My son does not charge the keyboard daily and he said that the lifespan of the battery is good and it lasts for several days. Although you can't compare this small keyboard to the comfort of a desktop computer keyboard, it doesn't pose any problems while typing and it gets the job done.

Perfect Keyboard Case | Works Great !!!
Color: Light Pink, Color: Light Pink
Got it for my iPad 11th gen. Love love the case. It does feel a little heavy with the iPad in it but that’s okay for me. The keyboard connects instantly to my iPad. There are no glitches when typing and keys feel comfy. I love the different lights that come with the keyboard. Overall, it’s perfect

Good case, I’d recommend, but a few things to consider…
Color: Light Pink
I got this while it was on sale, I’d say it’s worth the money. The case itself feels nice and is functional in the aspects it says it should be. My only complaint is that it is a bit difficult to type, especially with how small the keyboard is. However, it makes sense why the keyboard is small because it’s the same size as the iPad (horizontal width wise). The color is very nice, and I really enjoy the different light options for the keyboard. The case is a bit heavy, but it’s still portable and wouldn’t be a hassle to carry around. Another thing that I didn’t quite realize when buying is that you can’t close the case with the keyboard attached, it has to be unattached for it to close. That a little annoying because I have to find a safe spot for it aside, but I suppose the perk of that is that you don’t have to have the keyboard attached to the case to use it since it is Bluetooth. Overall, good case and keyboard, and id recommend if you’re looking for something functional, easy, and affordable.

Great product for the price and it's cute!
Color: Light Pink, Color: Light Pink
I bought this because I wanted to type easier on my iPad and all the other keyboards I looked up were a bit pricey. I saw this one on sale for a good price and decided to buy it. They had it in a few different colors and light pink was one of them so I got it because it's my favorite color. The quality of the color, and the outside case is pretty great, no imperfections, it looks really solid. The keyboard itself is quite thin and lightweight, when you press the keys you can see it dip in the middle a bit but that doesn't bother me too much. Don't type to heavy because it could potentially cause issues, we'll see if in the future after many uses if it does cause any issues. The magnet isn't super strong but it does hold it in place when you put the keyboard more towards the bottom of the front flap of the case. It does seem a bit cheap but the price is also cheap so it makes sense. As long as it works well and lasts long, then I'm satisfied. The colors do change, the button for that is on the bottom row of keys and the key has three circles with 'R' 'G' and 'B' as well as a brightness key to it's left labeled with a light bulb. Connecting it to the iPad was quick and easy too, simply turn on your Bluetooth and look for new device connection in the Bluetooth settings, press the 'connect' button on the keyboard and once it turns blue then check for 'Typecase Folio' it connects quickly and easily. Happy typing!
