This set is a heart-warming celebration of Australia’s baby wildlife, beautifully captured through a collection of coins featuring our most adorable young animals. Each denomination showcases a different baby animal, from Tiffany the tawny frogmouth nestled in her cosy nest to Delilah the mischievous Tasmanian devil. Each coin tells a delightful story, highlighting Australia’s cutest creatures in their early years.

Inspired by traditional designs, these coins have a fresh, whimsical twist. The 5 cent coin features Tiffany the tawny frogmouth surrounded by shiny coins mimicking her twiggy home. Syd the leafy sea dragon graces the 10 cent coin, watching a coin sink into the water, surrounded by seaweed resembling lyrebird tail feathers from Stuart Devlin’s design. Lenny the leatherback turtle races across the beach on the 20 cent coin, with swirls of sand also reflecting the traditional 20c coin design.

Kim the koala clings to gum leaves on the 50 cent coin, with coins hidden behind her. Quentin the quokka proudly holds the Mob of Roos coin on the one dollar coin, while Delilah the Tasmanian devil adds a cheeky touch to the 2 dollar coin, with coins stashed in her den. Designed by Elyssa Waterford, these coins beautifully capture Australia’s wildlife. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Daniel Thorne.
