Omega De Ville Chronograph Date 146.017 – 1969 Cal. 930 – Mint Condition, Complete with Box & Tag

We are pleased to present this exquisite Omega De Ville Chronograph Date from 1969, a reference 146.017 powered by the legendary Caliber 930. This particular example is a remarkably well-preserved collector’s piece—original, untouched, and accompanied by rare original accessories that elevate its collectibility to a new level.

1960s Elegance & Horological Importance

Emerging at the close of the 1960s, the Omega De Ville Chronograph Date 146.017 captures a moment in horological history where Omega pushed the limits of mechanical ingenuity and dress chronograph aesthetics. This reference is part of a small family of chronographs housing Omega’s last in housel chronograph movements—the Caliber 930—a date-equipped evolution of the renowned Cal. 861/860 lineage.

Distinctive in both engineering and design, the watch blends the refined lines of the De Ville dress collection with the technical prowess of a full chronograph complication. Its classic silver white dial, paired with gilt accents and Omega’s quality finishing, presents a striking, period-correct vintage appeal.

Condition & Specifications

Dial:
Original Omega white-silver dial in immaculate, untouched condition. Richly preserved print, crisp subdials, and factory-applied markers—all pristine, with luminous elements aged gracefully.

Crystal:
Original Omega hesalite plexiglass with embedded logo, in excellent condition.

Crown:
Original signed Omega crown, correct for the reference.

Case:
Gold-plated case (yellow gold tone), measuring 35mm without crown. Razor-sharp edges, no visible loss of plating—indicative of careful storage and minimal, if any, wear. Serial number (29 million range) confirms production in 1969.

Movement:
Manual-wind Omega Caliber 930, a high-grade chronograph movement with quickset date at 9 o’clock. Smooth pusher action and reliable timekeeping—a true joy for the vintage chronograph enthusiast.

Strap:
Watch currently paired with a period-appropriate high-quality strap (not pictured), though original strap not included.

Accompaniments & Provenance

This De Ville Chronograph comes with the following rare original accessories:

  • Original red Omega presentation box

  • Original Omega price hang tag (blank)

  • Serial-matching case back and fully Omega-signed parts

These extras are seldom found, especially in such clean condition, and dramatically bolster both the provenance and investment value of the piece.
