The Blackmagic Design Spares - ATEM 2 M/E Panel - PCB Main Internal Power Supply is the internal voltage regulation and distribution board for the legacy 2 M/E Broadcast Panel.

In these large-format panels, there is typically a two-stage power system: an AC/DC Power Module (the "Brick" inside the unit) and this Main Internal P/S PCB. This board acts as the "heart," taking the raw DC voltage and filtering it into the specific rails (e.g., $3.3\text{V}$, $5\text{V}$, $12\text{V}$) required to drive the thousands of LEDs, the multiple LCD screens, and the network communication chips.

Core Responsibilities

  • Voltage Regulation: Smooths out the power coming from the internal AC switching module to prevent "flicker" in the button LEDs.

  • Overcurrent Protection: Acts as a buffer to protect the expensive Main Logic and LCD boards from external power surges.

  • Distribution Hub: Houses the primary wiring harness connectors that send power to the Left, Center, and Right sections of the panel.

  • Heat Management: Contains the primary heatsinks for the voltage regulators that dissipate the heat generated by the panel’s massive power draw.

When to Replace the Main Internal P/S PCB

  • "Half-Dead" Panel: The left side of the panel lights up, but the right side (or the menu screens) remains dark. This indicates a failure in one of the specific voltage rails on this board.

  • Intermittent Rebooting: The panel randomly restarts or "glitches" during a show, especially when many buttons are pressed at once (which increases the power load).

  • High-Pitched Whining: If the panel emits a "coil whine" or a buzzing sound, the capacitors on this board are likely aging and failing.

  • No Boot (Fans Only): If you hear the internal cooling fans spin up, but no buttons light up and the unit is not seen on the network, the P/S PCB is failing to deliver logic-level voltage to the processor.

Technical Installation Note

Repair Level: 3 (Moderate).

  1. Safety First: Ensure the unit has been unplugged for at least 10 minutes before opening. The large capacitors on this board can hold a lethal charge even after the power cord is removed.

  2. Harness Documentation: There are several heavy-duty wiring harnesses connected to this board. Label them with tape before disconnecting; plugging a "Right Side" harness into a "Left Side" port can sometimes cause a short depending on the hardware revision.

  3. Grounding Screws: This board must be securely screwed into the metal chassis standoffs. These screws act as the common ground; if they are loose, the panel may experience "ghost" button presses or touch-sensitivity issues.

  4. Capacitor Clearance: When installing, ensure no cables are touching the large capacitors or the heatsinks, as these components can get hot during a 12-hour broadcast day.

Diagnostic: Internal P/S PCB vs. AC Power Module

Before replacing this board, determine which part of the power chain is broken:

  • The AC Module: If you use a multimeter and find zero volts coming out of the internal power brick, replace the AC Module.

  • The Internal P/S PCB: If the AC Module is sending $12\text{V}$ to this board, but the outputs to the buttons and LCDs are dead or sagging (e.g., measuring $2.1\text{V}$ instead of $3.3\text{V}$), replace the Internal P/S PCB.

Expert Advice: If you are replacing this board due to a failure, it is highly recommended to also check the health of the internal cooling fans. If the fans are clogged with dust, the P/S PCB will overheat and the new one will eventually fail in the same manner.

Is the panel failing to power on at all, or are you seeing specific sections of the panel lose power intermittently?

Good for Enthusiastic Chewers
Size: Medium, Color: Strawberry
I wasn't sure how long this toy would last with my beagle, but it has held up surprisingly well! My dog is rough on toys and usually destroys them pretty quickly, yet this one has survived lots of chewing, carrying around, and playtime. Definitely a great purchase for active dogs and enthusiastic chewers.

Tough Little Dog Toy
Size: Small, Color: Waffle
Interesting little toy. It’s pretty flat, which surprised me for some reason, but very thick and tough, and big enough for our small, aggressive chewer. Feels really substantial, Hoping we’ve found a toy that lasts.

It's a hit!
Size: Medium, Color: Strawberry
This can be a hit or miss. Believe it or not, my dachshund can tear through big dog toys, and he's had this one for almost 6 months now and loves it, chewing on it every day. He got to the stitching, but it still holds up well. Ordered another. I recommend this seller. PS - OCCASSIONALY WASH ALL THEIR TOYS!!!

Survived my dog… which almost nothing does!
Size: Medium, Color: Watermelon, Size: Medium, Color: Watermelon
I have a pit mix who is an expert-level destroyer of squeaky toys. Most “durable” toys last her maybe 5–15 minutes before the squeaker is gone. This one lasted a full HOUR of play (constant squeaking, chewing, and trying to find a weak spot) and she still didn’t manage to break it. That’s honestly unheard of for her. What I like: The flat shape makes it hard for her to get a good “kill grip” The squeaker isn’t easy to isolate and destroy It keeps her engaged instead of just ripping it open immediately She actually spent a lot of time just booping it with her nose to make it squeak, which she loves. I ended up putting it away before she could eventually destroy it, and I’ll be rotating it to make it last longer. It’s now a high-value toy in our house. If you have a dog that destroys every squeaky toy in minutes, this is absolutely worth trying. I’m already planning to buy more from this line.

Not for aggressive chewers
Size: Medium, Color: Carrot
This product is pretty strong, but my dog tore it apart in 5 minutes. The size is great, and my dog loved tearing it apart. I wish it lasted longer.
