If the Wright brothers' 1903 flights in Kitty Hawk marked the birth of aviation, World War I can be called its violent adolescence--a brief but bloody era that completely changed the way planes were designed, fabricated, and flown. The war forged an industry that would redefine transportation and warfare for future generations. In First to Fly, lauded historian Charles Bracelen Flood tells the story of the men who were at the forefront of that revolution: the daredevil Americans of the Lafayette Escadrille, who flew in French planes, wore French uniforms, and showed the world an American brand of heroism before the United States entered the Great War. As citizens of a neutral nation from 1914 to early 1917, Americans were prohibited from serving in a foreign army, but many brave young souls soon made their way into European battle zones: as ambulance drivers, nurses, and more dangerously, as soldiers in the French Foreign Legion. It was partly from the ranks of the latter group, and with the sponsorship of an expat American surgeon and a Vanderbilt, that the Lafayette Escadrille was formed in 1916 as the first and only all-American squadron in the French Air Service. Flying rudimentary planes, against one-in-three odds of being killed, these fearless young men gathered reconnaissance and shot down enemy aircraft, participated in the Battle of Verdun and faced off with the Red Baron, dueling across the war-torn skies like modern knights on horseback. Drawing on rarely seen primary sources, Flood chronicles the startling success of that intrepid band, and gives a compelling look at the rise of aviation and a new era of warfare.Binding Type: Paperback

It's different. Not bad, but nothing special.
Color: Navy Melange, Size: XX-Large
The fit is good. I'd say medium weight. It's not quite as light as some of the microfiber pullovers I like to wear playing golf, and not quite as flexible. I'm not sure I like the decorative stitching. The stitching on the shoulders and along the sides makes it look like it's on inside out. Also, the material has kind of a paper feeling to it (for want of a better description). Overall it's decent looking, not a bad fit, not a bad feel, it just doesn't 'wow' me. Unless the price is better than it is now, and already having one, I doubt I'd buy it again.
Most of this is just my own opinion based on personal preference. The overall manufacturing quality seems very good. Someone else might think this is the nicest pullover they own.

Excellent quality and value
This is my 4th Maelreg 1/4 zip shirt. I've lost a lot of weight and looking for clothing that fits well and doesn't feel like a shirt from China. I found that the quality and fit are excellent. The fabric is soft, well made and slightly heavier than other 1/4 zips I've purchased on Amazon. The weight of fabric gives a quality feel. The styles of Maelreg pullovers are great. I get a lot of compliments on these shirts.

MAELREG Clothing Looks Great!
Love this quarter zip. MAELREG makes some comfortable, sharp looking clothing. Their golf apparel is fantastic. The value is worth it. Their shirts are true to size. I am 6', 215lbs and wear an XL, which fits nicely.

Great for Tall Guys
I got this for my husband, he has a pullover that he has worn for years and it needed replacing. Finding one like this that was lightweight and loose fit was a big challenge. He loves the quality and fabric and its not hot but still helps when their is a breeze or chill. I liked that the color and pattern are versatile for all seasons. He is 6'5 and it actually fits his torso! Just get it!

It’s a hit!
Color: Brown Grey Camo, Size: Large
I picked on of these up after seeing it online. I have multiple Maelreg items and all are great quality. They are my go to golf and casual clothing brand. Super comfortable, soft, light weight, and perfect fit. Olive on the east coast and this color is all the rage in the area. These are some of the best value 1/4 zips out there.
