Brand new to Oxfords American Classic series is the exciting introduction from the Henry Ford stable of post-war motoring extravaganza the Ford Fairlane. This era of American cars saw the results of many new advances in technology and the introduction of features never seen before from simple things like automatic windows to longer wheelbases and more powerful engines. The Ford Fairlane was made between 1955 and 1970 during which it came in a variety of body styles including two-door and four-door saloons, similar hardtops, station wagons and convertibles.  A basic level trim version proved popular for fleet use too by taxi fleets and the Police.

Oxfords Ford Fairlane 500 is based on the 3rd generation of the car manufactured and restyled between 1960 and 1961 and represents the four-door town sedan version of that period - the flagship of the full-size model range. The car featured a body-on-frame chassis with a 119 in wheelbase, 3.7L engine and either two or three speed transmission. Physically, the Fords of the early 1960s era came with a sleeker look than their 1950s extravagant appearance. The twin headlights sat in a scalloped square front grille.  Round taillights were replaced by half moon shaped lights for 1960 only. The tailfins were smaller, windscreen wipers were extended to a wider scope and Ford introduced the centre rear fuel door lid.

Incorporating all the above physical features, our new 1:87 scale replica of the Ford Fairlane Sedan 500 Town appears in a sporty bright red with contrasting white roof.  White is also carried through to the whitewall tyres and white interior seating.  The dashboard, steering wheel and remaining interior are moulded in red.  Exterior trim is primarily chrome, including the Ford lettering on the front of the bonnet and Fairlane across the rear.  The Fairlane 500 nomenclature is printed on the rear wings in silver.

Made it through the first season
Style: 9" 2T Cutting Blade
Product value compared to name brands not to bad so for. Not sure I'd use it for contract work, but great for homeowner use. Engine seems to have an odd burning smell, but performs good (yes I have the correct oil/gas mix ratio which is 50:1). This is very similar to the Stihl models, aluminum shaft tubing on the attachments appear to be slightly thinner than Stihl, but they perform fine. So far it's been a great value for all the attachments you get in the kit. Definitely like the angle capability of the hedge trimmer and ease of changing out the attachments. Chain saw blade did dull fairly quick, but expected that based on it's size. Jury still out on longevity.

Edger Does Not Fit The 52CC Trimmer
Style: 9" 2T Cutting Blade
Might be a great cutter head?? I purchased the 52cc trimmer and edger as a package, however the edger does not fit the trimmer??? Therefore, it is useless... Will see if it fits my 25cc trimmer and maybe change the review... They should tell people in the description that their edger will not work with the 52cc trimmer....

Cut edges like a pro
Style: 9" 2T Cutting Blade
Better, much better than the OEM yellow and black brand. This has an all metal guard and the blade does not bind when it comes into contact with concrete. I have used it all summer for edging two commercial properties and my own lawn, it’s still turning and cutting with ease. Being all metal adds weight but the trade off over fragile plastic is worth the durability.

OK for light duty use only
Style: 9" 2T Cutting Blade
Not very strong or robust. Does fit my power head properly. Only recommend it for occasional, light duty use.
