Every fold, curve, and overlap is sculpted by hand — the form is built up in stages and worked until the ribbon flow reads as continuous and organic across the panel. Once the sculpted form has set, the maroon and pink stripe pattern is hand-painted directly onto the dimensional surface, with each stripe carefully traced around the curves and dips of the ribbon so the pattern flows with the form. The white background panel is finished cleanly to give the painted ribbon maximum focal weight.
