Essentially This is a complete intact assembly minus the Bell Housing (Pivot Housing) and assorted Hoses / Bellows and other fittings. You would need a special tool to remove or replace the steering arm or gimbal ring, so we decided to just leave this as a whole complete assembly.

This would have been found on all of the standard OMC Cobra models 1986-1987 regardless of engine configuration. However, you can use this to replace one from 1988-1989 as well. So In short... This is compatible with any 1986-1989 Cobra Applications..... 1990-1993 used a different exhaust pipe bolt pattern, so definitely don't use this to replace one of those.
