Textile Origin Story:
The pattern PJ was a long distance collaborative piece. I have been wanting to do a project with live flowers for more than ten years! PJ is named for the artist who made that happen. She is the childhood friend of a family I have worked with for over thirty years. I knew her since she was just a peanut! I had been following the arc of her company, Leafy Lane Florals, when I decided I needed to finally make that happen. Her incredible eye for detail had really caught my attention. We did a back and forth of ideas as she crafted arrangements that could be adapted for textile design. Her husband had a great camera for the high resolution images I needed and with the help of her toddler son Tommy it all came together quite quickly!
